Bedtime stories

This nightly golden rituals is the best way to cuddle and relax at the end of the day. I Love reading stories to Mathieu and I Love seeing him enjoy the moment as much as I do. I know how lucky I am to be able to spend this precious time with him so "I take it all in!" like my friend Lincoln would say.

For bedtime stories we usually read this french book {seen in the pictures}, it has very short stories {most of the time one page} with the illustration on the other side. So usually I read the story and then talk about the image. He is very funny because he loves telling me {his way} what things are, and to show me with his little fingers that he knows what we are talking about . So cute!

Reading to your baby/child is a wonderful experience and it establishes a communication exchange that last through life. It also has many benefits like building your child's vocabulary, improve his communication skills and stimulate his imagination. I really recommend "The read aloud handbook, by Jim Trelease" if you are interested in knowing more about the importance of reading aloud.

My hope is that if  we raise our baby {and future ones} with beauty and joy then he will know what to look for in life.

Good night!
