Garlic Spaghetti or Angel Hair in 5 minutes

You would think that with this hot weather I would only want to eat a nice fresh salad. Instead, Last night I decided that Garlic Spaghetti would be the perfect dish to satisfy my need for some comfort food.It is super tasty, creamy and delicate Also it is so easy to make it take 5 minutes to make and you only need 5 ingredients {plus salt and pepper of course} to complete the dish. I like to add some fresh Basil but you don't have too.

*Caution*: if you do not like Garlic so much, this recipe is not for you or if you are having a "date night" maybe not either. ;-)

I hope you enjoy !

XO

Ingredients : {for 2}

- 1/4 of a cup of minced Garlic
- 1/8 of a cup of Olive oil
- 1/8 of a cup of Butter
- Half of the pasta box {I prefer Angel Hair pasta because of the texture and it also save time}
-1/2 a cup of grated Parmesan Cheese

 *Optional : 1/4 of a cup of chopped Basil

Directions

- Cook the garlic in the butter and the olive oil over low heat until the garlic is soft but not brown. {if you add the Basil, its now !!!! cook for 1 to 2 minutes, the basil should still be green}

- Poor sauce over cooked spaghetti, toss to coat your pasta.

- Top with Parmesan cheese

- Serve with a nice salad on the side and why not some red wine too !

5 Tips to dress Parisian Chic

If you go to Paris, France you will see that most women keep it simple but chic and classy at the same time. I was born and raised in Paris and the number 1 rule for most French women in my opinion is "less is more", your style has to look effortless even though a lot of though was put into your outfit.

here are 5 Tips on how to Be "Parisian Chic", I hope it will be helpful !

XO

Tip # 1   Wear Fitted coats and jacket. In the summer you are not going to need to wear one but it is so important to make sure that the "Top layer" of your outfit is fitted and follows your body. You want to make we can see your curves. Curves are what makes us feminine :-)

{ Dolce & Gabbana - way out of my price range but just to give you an idea}

Tip # 2  Buy Basics. You can buy good quality basics that would last your for years. Basics never go out of style and you can add some trendy pieces to change it up when you want to. When I say Basics I mean skinny Jeans in a dark color with no rips, Blouses {I love silk blouses right now} in neutral colors {you can still buy bright colors for spring or summer}, Black heels and Black Dress {This is a Must}, Pencil skirt {right above the knee cap}. Navy, Grey and Black are flattering on most people so we cannot go wrong with these colors.
{J.  Crew Silk Blouse}
{ Skinny Jeans - I would ad a belt and tuck the shirt into the jean with this outfit}

{Christian Louboutin - On my must have list I want a Pair !!!!}
  Tip #3  Don't wear too much jewelry. Keep it simple, a small necklace, with some small earrings or a     statement ring. You can also wear scarfs, they are a great way to accessorize.

{Tiffany & Co. - Elsa Peretti , Diamonds by the Yard pendant}

Tip # 4  Don't wear too much makeup. Again {lol} keep it simple. In France we like our face to look healthy and Fresh. We barely wear any eye makeup {unless we are going clubbing or something of that sort}. Most of the time all we wear is under eye concealer, foundation, bronzer or light blush and mascara. I would say that the skin care routine is the most important {you can splurge on that ;-)}.

Tip # 5 Wear Perfume. I do not know any women in France that does not wear Perfume. It really is the final touch. Most French women would splurge on perfume so they would go for a designer brand. There is nothing more feminine than a nice, clean, fresh smell that follows you anywhere you go !

Four Things

Hello Everyone !

This week was great, I finally had the time to relax and enjoy time with M. Here is some of the things that made me happy this week.

Flowers - I Love alive flowers in my Home because they bring a feeling of beauty and strong healing energy.They are just so refreshing.{and they smell good ;-)}

Pasta - I love pasta ! These are Handmade pasta imported from Italy. The colors were carefully coordinated to enhance the presentation.To get these colours they only used natural ingredients like red bell pepper (for the red), spinach (for the green), red beet (for the violet), curcuma (for the yellow) and squid ink (for the Black). Presentation is important to me when it comes to food, it makes me want to eat it more.

Red nail Polish - This is the perfect color for spring in my opinion, it completes your whole look.

new Pillow - We are re-doing the living room, and are going for a more settle "Grown up" style. This is a sneak peek of our new living room :-).

Chic for a Wedding - H&M from Head to Toe

Hello Ladies !

Last week was very busy, between work, graduations, and M. being sick I had very little time for myself or Blogging.
Anyways, we went to a wedding last Saturday and I wanted to show you what I wore. I have been tired of wearing dresses for weddings, I feel like wearing a dress is the easy way out even though it might be a little more expensive.
As we are right in the middle of spring, Mint is the perfect color and you can wear it with practically anything. I also wanted to add something sophisticated yet feminine, Lace is the perfect balance. This skirt has some sparkle in it which makes it perfect for a special occasion.
Black shoes of course and a matching black clutch {old from Mango}.

I cannot tell you how many compliments I had on the skirt. And the whole outfit was under $100 !! this just goes to show that you can get a great outfit on a budget.

Let me know if you like it ! and if you have a cute outfit that you want to share.

Ps: I can wear the shirt and the shoes to work, so that makes it and even better deal !

XO

3 day fever - Baby is sick ...

{temperature sucks ....}
Hello Guys !

Ugh! for the past few days M. has not been feeling too good. He is feeling better today but ohhh boy I have been so stressed.

It started on Sunday morning, I took him out of bed and he was really hot. I took his temperature and he was 100.2. I was scared because I did not know what to do, I did some research on the internet and asked  the mom's and dads of our family. No one seamed too concerned as the fever was not very high. But my main concern was " should I let the fever be ... or take it down ..."

The next day, same thing he was 100.7 and took really long naps {which he never does - he sleeps one hour nap at the most} . I gave him some Baby Tylenol twice during the day and it really helped the fever to go down.

On the third day I called the pediatrician, the nurse told me to come in. The pediatrician asked me if there was any other symptom like runny nose, cough, vomiting or diarrhea. He did not have any of that, but there are many viral infections that can cause fever without any other symptoms. Luckily, the P. said that he looked ok and that M. should be fine in a few days, sometimes babies get a cold that is not strong enough to   just have all of the symptoms and just show as a fever, which is part of the body's defense against bacteria and viruses.

M. is up and running now ! {lol not yet, but I mean, he is ok !}

I know now that this experience made me feel more confident in what to do in a "sick baby situation". Now if you are not sure in what to do, just call your baby's pediatrician. It's better to be safe than sorry.

XO
